About Us

Welcome Message from the MD/CEO

It is with great honor that I welcome you to the official website of the Benue State Agricultural Development Company (BSADC). Established in 1977 as part of a Federal Government initiative, BSADC has long been a cornerstone for promoting food security, driving economic growth, and empowering smallholder farmers across Benue State.
As the newly appointed MD/CEO, I am committed to revitalizing BSADC and restoring its legacy as a vital force in agriculture and rural development. BSADC holds vast untapped potential with its extensive assets, including Apir Integrated Farm, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Farms, and over 20,000 hectares of land primed for agricultural transformation.
Our goal is simple: to empower smallholder farmers with the tools, training, and market access they need to thrive, ensuring food security, economic growth, and sustainable livelihoods for the people of Benue State and beyond.
I invite you to join us on this transformative journey—whether as a farmer, partner, or stakeholder—because together, we can shape a future where agriculture creates opportunities and changes lives.
Once again, welcome to BSADC. Let’s grow together.
Sincerely,
DONALD AORKWAGH AKULE

Our Strength & Assets
BSADC has established contacts and groups at the 276 wards that can facilitate data collection for farmers, 5 extension service providers and location managers at each of the 23 LGAs in Benue state.
This farm will be redesigned to integrate various agricultural activities, such as crop production, livestock rearing, and aquaculture, promoting a sustainable farming model. It will serve as a training hub for farmers to learn best practices in integrated farming.
To be utilized for crop cultivation, livestock grazing, and agroforestry. It represents a valuable resource for expanding agricultural production.
Youths from the NYSC program will be engaged to participate in agricultural activities, fostering skills development and providing hands-on experience in farming.
The 5 feed mills will be equipped for producing animal feed, while the silos will provide storage for grains. These facilities will help ensure a steady supply of quality feed to local farmers, enhancing livestock productivity.
The 4 training centres established to provide education and skill development for farmers will now offer courses on modern agricultural techniques, business management, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable practices.
